Machine guarding checklist
It’s important to have machine guards in place to protect your staff. However, they can often fail due to normal wear and tear, operator interference and mechanical or electrical reasons. Use our new form to document the critical safety checks you are undertaking on your guarding.
Rather than leave it to chance and hope that there’s no failure, use our Machine Guarding Checklist which is a simple but effective check on all pieces of equipment that have integral guarding.
What’s covered?
The checklist begins with a prompt of what should be looked for including signs of general wear and tear, and that the guards are fixed and secured, etc. It then allows you to detail the equipment with the guarding, along with the location of where the guard is and columns to identify that it has been checked and is suitable and sufficient. There’s room for comments at the end to identify if any further information is required.
