  • Always clear up waste and rubbish as it develops.
  • Remove combustible scrap and debris regularly.
  • Store tools and equipment in their designated place.
  • Do not store more than one shift’s worth of material, e.g. block or brick, on scaffolds.
  • Ensure the platform, scaffold or support has adequate strength for the weight of material.
