Laptop purchasing checklist

When buying a laptop, the price and specification are usually the only considerations. But if you don’t look at the possible safety issues, you could make an expensive mistake.

Purchasing checklist

You can avoid, or at least reduce, problems by using a Laptop Purchasing Checklist. This can help ensure that, so far as possible, the laptop will suit the user. The checklist is based on HSE guidance but is by no means mandatory and should be used alongside practical considerations regarding the user, including where the equipment will be used, work intensity and the type of application. The checklist is comprised of a series of questions which examine whether the laptop is ergonomically-friendly, not too heavy, has a suitable screen size and resolution, and is provided with appropriate accessories.
