Initial nuisance noise assessment

If you have a noise problem, a full-blown noise assessment carried out by experts needn’t be your first step. Before you do this, you should complete a basic assessment.

Making an assessment

If you’ve had a complaint about noise on your site, or even if you want to carry out a simple assessment of noise levels just in case, you don’t need to employ the services of an expert as a first step. All you will need is our Initial Nuisance Noise Assessment document.

Note. This is a very simple assessment and doesn’t qualify as a full noise survey. If, when completing this survey, it’s identified that noise levels might be high enough to be a nuisance, a full noise survey should be completed.
